The agency was founded in 2010 under the name PlanB Creatingpictures by Gregor Weiss and Dominik Bresa in their hometown of Kiel, Northern Germany.

 

Originally established as a video production company focused on marketing content, the agency quickly grew thanks to the entrepreneurial drive and strategic leadership of Gregor Weiss. As Managing Partner, he led client acquisition and ensured successful project execution, enabling rapid expansion. At the same time, Dominik Bresa, as Head of Production, continuously developed the video team’s technical and creative expertise.

By 2015, a second office was opened in Hamburg, and the service portfolio was expanded to include strategy, branding, and design.

 

In 2018, web design was added, followed by performance marketing in 2019 through an international partner agency.

By 2020, the agency operated across two locations with 15 full-time employees and 8 freelancers and was recognized as an IHK-certified training company for media designers – further underlining its professional commitment and high-quality standards.

During the pandemic, Gregor Weiss relocated to the United Arab Emirates and in early 2022 founded PlanB Marketing in Dubai. Over the past three years, PlanB Marketing has established itself in the UAE as one of the leading consultancy firms for strategic marketing – with a clear distinction: German-level creative and art direction.
